- Holders of Bachelors degree at upper Second Class honours or equivalent in any related discipline from the University of Nairobi or other Institutions recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.
- Holders of Bachelors degree at Lower second class honours or equivalent from the University of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate, with at least two years relevant post qualification working experience.
- Holders of pass degree or equivalent in any discipline from the University of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by Senate, with at least five years relevant post qualification working experience.

From the pop-up menu select the Masters programmes, then search for the Master of Library and Information Science as shown below, and follow the steps as guided by the system.
