Uon%20Main%20Campus.jpgThe University of Nairobi has maintained its lead in the region in the just released Webometrics Ranking July 2015.

UoN has been ranked positions 7 in Africa and 923 in the world, ahead of all other universities in the region.

University of Cape Town was ranked first in Africa, with Stellenbosch University and University of Witwatersrand taking position two and three respectively.

Prof.%20Ngugi_1.JPGIt was a historic opportunity for many to listen to a public lecture by one of Kenyans most celebrated literary icons, Prof. Ngugi wa Thiongo at the Taifa Hall, Main Campus on Thursday, June, 11, 2015 as he challenged the University community comprising of staff and students and the general public to embrace Kenyan products, companies and more so Kenyan culture and heritage.

Faculty of arts Departmental heads participated in 1 day training on SMS held at the Coorperate Computer Lab, in the School of Computing and Informatics; Chiromo Campus. The training mainly focused on management of students Marks and in practical uploading of the results, verification and confirmation, while still maintaining Security and Integrity. The training was organised by the dean's office Faculty of Arts, the ICT director's office and conducted by the SMIS Team.
