Dean welcomes freshmen to FoA

The Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Ephraim Wahome welcomed 1,800 new students to the Faculty for the academic year 2021/2022. In his address to the freshmen, Prof. Wahome called on the students to focus on their studies even as they navigate through the ups and downs of campus life.

Faculty of Arts admits 1800 first year students

The Faculty of Arts has welcomed 1,800 first year students for the Academic Calendar 2021/2022. The first years reported on Monday, September 20, 2021.

The students will be taken through orientation the whole week. The orientation will be to a large extent Faculty-based. Thus, students will be exposed in detail to the facilities in the respective Faculty and in general to those of the entire University.

Systematic Literature Review Course: Request for Applications

The Department of Library and Information Science (University of Nairobi) has partnered with AgriFoSe2030 (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) to provide a hybrid training in Systematic Literature Review to academic staff and postgraduate students. 

This course is open to post graduate students and academic staff interested in mastering the methods and software tools for conducting efficient and effective systematic literature review.

65th Graduation Ceremony – Friday, September 24, 2021

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2020/2021) and members of the public, that the 65th Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, September 24, 2021 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Great Court. The 225th University Senate held on Wednesday 4th August 2021 considered and approved the Revised Semester Schedules for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.

The African Continental Free Trade Agreement offers hope of a revival of both regional and intra-African trade to boost trade and development in Eastern Africa.
This was the overarching message during Dr Andrew Mold’s IDS seminar presentation on the potential impact of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Eastern Africa region and the next steps concerning implementing the agreement.
